PERIODIC DENTAL EXAM
Dental examinations help to diagnose disease before it becomes hazardous to your health. Your dental examinations generally include the following:
-
Examination of diagnostic x-rays
-
Oral cancer screening
-
Gum disease evaluation
-
Examination of tooth decay
-
Examination of status of current restoration

SCALING AND POLISHING
Scaling and polishing performed by a dentist or hygienist form the foundation for preventing gum disease and tooth decay. In a professional cleaning, we will remove plaque, calculus and stains from your teeth.

TOPICAL FLUORIDE TREATMENT
Fluoride is an effective agent available to help prevent tooth decay. The benefits of fluoride have been well documented and supported by many health and professional organizations.

FISSURE SEALANT
Sealant protects teeth from decay for many years. Sealants protect the tooth by sealing deep grooves, creating a smooth and easy to clean surface.
Periodontal Treatment
PERIODONTAL TREATMENT
SCALING AND ROOT PLANING
Periodontal treatment methods depend upon the type and severity of the disease.
If the disease is caught in the early stages of gingivitis, and no damage is done, one to two regular cleanings will be recommended.
If the disease has progressed to more advanced stages, a special periodonal cleaning called scaling and root planing will be recommended.
If the condition does not heal after the treatment, periodontal surgery may be needed.
Restorative Treatment
RESTORATIVE TREATMENT
COMPOSITE FILLINGS
Composite fillings are tooth colored, they can be closely matched to the color of existing teeth, and are more esthetically suited for use in front teeth or the more visible areas.
CROWNS AND BRIDGES
Crowns and bridges are designed to cover fractured, heavily decayed teeth, or replace missing teeth. It is also the recommended treatment to protect a tooth that has had root canal treatment from fracture.

REMOVABLE DENTURE
Removable dentures provide a viable alternative to fixed bridgework or implant as a mean of replacing missing teeth. A partial denture replaces one or more teeth, as opposed to a full denture, which replaces all the teeth in a jaw.

ROUTINE AND SURGICAL TOOTH EXTRACTIONS
Saving your natural tooth is a priority at Penn Pacific Dental Center.
However, in those cases where infection or pain are advanced, teeth extraction maybe your best option.

DENTAL IMPLANTS

Dental implants can function just like natural teeth, and are a wonderful solution to replace missing teeth.

ROOT CANAL THERAPY
Inside each tooth is a pulp chamber that contains the nerve and blood supply for the tooth.
When the pulp become irreversibly infected due to tooth decay or injury, the pulp must be removed to eliminate pain and further infection.
All teeth that have had root canal therapy should be protected with a crown to prevent further fracture.
